Word Association: Friendship.

Gratitude, love, irreplaceable, lucky…these are the words that come to mind when I think of my friendships. When I moved to Colorado, I didn’t know many people and at first it was a little scary. I didn’t have that secure friend group I had always counted on back home. However, over the last year a small handful of truly great people have come into my Colorado Life and I couldn’t be happier with our little clan. Whether it’s trivia, teaching, climbing, camping, or just grabbing a bite; we laugh and chat like we’ve all known each other forever. And more importantly, we’ve got each other’s backs.

Throughout this journey, my friends have supported me in some pretty amazing ways. All it takes is a moment to play through the last week and I’m filled with gratitude and love for these people!

Here’s a quick peek at our past few days.

Annie hung out while I finished the packing and cleaning. (Notice how she’s not actually in the apartment ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Leon helped me load up the wood to bring to Tennessee.

James helped me make some wicked cool light fixtures (you’ll get to see these later).

Not pictured, but much appreciated:

Sammy accompanied Annie and I multiple times for some quality time, chit chatting, and catching up because we have been apart more than together this summer. Her moral support through this adventure is very high quality ๐Ÿ˜€.

Brandon has puppy-sat so many times. Annie loves his backyard and is grateful she got to hang out there while I ran around getting the errands done!

And Rachel. Well, Rachel opened her home to Annie and I without a second thought. Oh yeah, and she’s driving to Tennessee with us to help us build our house!!!

These are just a few things my friends have done to make me feel thankful and lucky. I’m on this journey to build my own house, but I’m certainly not on it alone.

Check back soon, we’re on the road!

xoxo
